What is included in the Initial Assessment?
Our Initial Assessment includes a full body and functional movement screening, measurement from Pressure Biofeedback, the principles of any Method and the introductory exercises. During the assessment we also discuss your current problem and/or goals you would like to achieve through Pilates or GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® exercises, where an individualised program will be defined to address your specific needs.
If you are new to Pilates or the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Method, or have a few injury concerns, an Initial Assessment is a MUST and we strongly advise you undergo a 60 min assessment. If you have only done a small amount of Pilates or GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Method you would benefit from being checked out by our team before getting into the classes, the 60 min Initial Assessment is also important for you.
What is the difference between Pilates and the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods?
Pilates focuses on a diagnostic approach to restructuring the musculoskeletal system and concentrates on correcting postural and muscular imbalances specific to the needs of individual clients. GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® exercises are designed to work the body and its system as a whole. A rotational multi-directional movements are performed to increase flexibility and strength, culminating in an organic rejuvenation and increased vitality and vigour.
How many clients are in the Group Classes?
The Group Classes are intimate and challenging with a maximum of 5 people per class for Pilates Reformer Group Classes. The smaller classes size allows for proper supervision and correction of form to ensure you get the most from your exercise and avoid injury.
